My Last Request
You say that you are my friend
And perhaps it's even true
But only on occasions
That clearly benefit you
If I'm in need, and I call
To ask for a helping hand
You always have some excuse
And you cannot change your plans
But you call at three a.m.
And expect me to be there
You say for me to refuse
Is to say that I don't care
If you need a ride, or cash
You don't hesitate to ask
But to get the same from you
Is an impossible task
So, next time you need a friend
Dial someone else's number
Because I have decided
It's time to disencumber
Myself from the likes of you
And I don't wish you the best
Don't call me, I won't call you
And that is my last request
